Haryana to setup aviation centre
TOI/20 Dec
The Haryana government and the Aero Club of India plan to setup a
national-level aero sports centre in the state on Jan 31, 2010. The site
proposed is the existing Bachhaud airstrip at Narnaul, just off the NH-8
from Delhi to Jaipur. It is expected to become the first national center of
excellence for the promotion of aviation activities. The center will serve
Haryana and Delhi and include aero sports like para-sailing, parachuting,
skydiving and hot-air ballooning with more sports being planned in the near
future.
